Hello June!

Summer is upon us and I gotta say I am pretty excited. Not because I have some special, grandiose plans but just because it’s summer. Just like the start of spring, summer always feels full of possibilities. Granted we’re adulting so there’s work involved, which is a definite certainty, but the days are long and with it comes so many opportunities for growth and adventure.

And speaking of growth and adventure, I have decided to make a shift on the blog and the podcast. If you’re an oldie but goodie you might remember me basically jumping feet first into the podcast abyss and daring myself to sink or swim. Well, that approach has served its purpose. I was able to get out of my own way, hit publish on the podcast and start the blog. Now in this current season, I’m ready to be even more thoughtful and intentional in my communication with you ladies.

What that will look like is me focusing on the blog and using the pocast to create an audio format to the blog posts. I communicate better on paper and feel it will definitely serve you ladies well and better doing it this way. Now of course in the podcast I’ll go off script from time to time but generally speaking the episodes will be me reading the blog posts. I’m super excited about this new pivot.

The origin story of Decentering Me will essentially remain the same. I’m still sharing the ways in which I got out of my own way during my separation and how I continue to do so as I’m rebuilding a new identity. The Decentering Journey Phase Quiz is still available and so is The Rebuild Planner. Both will be getting a facelift here soon but they are still insightful and life changing as they are right now in their current state.

Moving on to life updates.

I hired a personal trainer! Due to some physical injuries last year and my most recent knee sprain, my body has taken a hit. And with that my fitness. I feel slower, weaker and honestly like I was slipping back into old patterns of inactivity. Long story short, I came across my PT’s social media post and jumped feet first into hiring him. So far so good, every week I’m being pulled more and more out of the fitness rut that I found myself in and it’s affected other areas of my life as well.

I would say that’s the major life update for me. Everything else is your normal stuff; getting summer ready, wrapping up the school year, etc. All in all I’m excited but also exhausted.

And with that being said, I will end this post here. Hope to see you back next time but until then I want to know…. what’s been a big life update for you?

Til next time….
